The summer day is clear and bright as you walk down the sidewalk. You had nothing to do today, so you decided to take a walk while the temperature was less than boiling hot. The air is refreshing with a light wind blowing.
Suddenly, something hits you on the head. You hear something glass-like clatter to the ground, but not shatter. Luckily, you don’t seem to have been injured, as you feel no blood on the top of your head.
The item fell in front of you.
The crystal is shining in the summer sun. Curious, you pick it up and turn it around in your hand. It seems to be emitting a mysterious glow.
As if it was a delayed reaction to the injury, you suddenly get a headache. Fatigue washes over your body, and you kneel on the ground for a moment before regaining your strength and standing up again.
The air seems thicker than before, like there is some sort of pressure on your body. You look around suspiciously.
In places where there was nothing before, you see forms fading into view. Some are clearly human, but others are cloaked figures. None seem to notice you, and drift around aimlessly. You wonder if they are ghosts...before wondering why you can see them.
